Brief Description
Smartivus collaborated with Ostkom, a prominent regional cable operator in Latvia, to design and implement an advanced over-the-top (OTT) TV service with cutting-edge features like catch-up and time-shift, as well as state-of-the-art HEVC video encoding.

Ostkom is a regional cable operator in Latvia offering a wide range of internet and digital television services. Their portfolio includes over 100 digital TV channels, catering to multiple viewer demographics and preferences.
Challenge
Ostkom sought to create a next-generation TV service equipped with features like catch-up and time-shift, along with a high-efficiency video coding (HEVC) solution that ensures a seamless viewing experience while optimizing network bandwidth.
