CDN or Smart Edges – Smart EDGE software responsible for OTT stream distribution and caching functionality. One cloudEdge node is capable of streaming up to 90 Gbps of OTT streaming data. Most cases these edge servers are equipped with 100 Gbps network cards and expected to be installed in 100 Gbps network infrastructure.
Transcoders – One GPU based hardware transcoder can transcode upto 50 HD channels in 2 ABR profiles.
CloudDVRs or Storage – cloudDVR software responsible for OTT packaging catch-up, timeshift and DRM scrambling functionality. One origin can handle up to 200 HD channels.
